The Saudi-Mexican Business Council, chaired by Dr. Badr Al-Bassas, held a meeting with Mr. Hisham Al-Ansari, CEO of Mediterranean Shipping Company (Saudi), with the participation of representatives from the General Ports Authority. The meeting focused on reviewing areas of cooperation and gaining a clear understanding of the company’s logistics and shipping services.

Discussions highlighted opportunities to support trade flows between Saudi Arabia and Mexico, strengthen supply chain connectivity, and align business sector needs with available maritime solutions. Both sides emphasized the importance of improving logistics efficiency to facilitate smoother trade movement.

An agreement was reached to organize a workshop with the business sector to present service capabilities and explore partnership prospects. The parties also agreed to proceed with signing a memorandum of understanding to establish a formal framework for future collaboration.

This meeting reflects the ongoing efforts of the Saudi-Mexican Business Council, operating under the Federation of Saudi Chambers, to expand economic ties and create new channels for cooperation across key sectors.
