Mexico–Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council Officially Installed in Mexico City
The Mexico–Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council was officially installed on February 19 in Mexico City, marking a significant step forward in strengthening private sector collaboration between the two nations.
The event was led by Mexico’s Business Coordinating Council (CCE) and the Saudi Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FSCC), with the participation of senior representatives from both governments, including Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment (MISA) and the General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT).
This joint council provides a new formal platform to deepen business ties, promote bilateral trade and investment, and foster strategic alliances between companies in Mexico and Saudi Arabia. It reflects a shared commitment to expanding private sector cooperation and unlocking new opportunities across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, logistics, agriculture, and innovation.
“This is not just a symbolic moment—it’s the start of a long-term partnership grounded in action, results, and mutual respect,” noted a CCE spokesperson during the ceremony.
The Joint Business Council will play a key role in organizing business missions, facilitating sector-specific matchmaking, and offering a channel for continuous dialogue between the business communities of both nations.
The initiative aligns with the broader strategic goals of SAMEX in creating a more dynamic, connected, and opportunity-driven corridor between Saudi Arabia and Mexico.
